Iran Security Chief Says Saudi Defense Minister Warned Israel Could Target Turkey and Saudi Arabia

TEHRAN — November 1, 2026

Iranian security official Mohsen Rezaei has said that Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman Al Saud warned during discussions in Tehran that Israel could turn its attention towards Turkey and Saudi Arabia following any military confrontation with Iran.

According to remarks attributed to Rezaei, representatives from Saudi Arabia, Türkiye and Pakistan discussed future regional security arrangements during their meetings in Tehran.

Rezaei said that the discussions focused on concerns about Israel’s regional military ambitions and the potential security implications for neighbouring countries.

He also recalled Khalid bin Salman warning that, after Iran, Israel could target Türkiye and subsequently Saudi Arabia.

Rezaei further described similar concerns expressed by Turkish intelligence chief Ibrahim Kalin and Pakistan’s military leadership, particularly regarding Israel’s regional policies and their potential implications for Muslim-majority countries.

Regional Security Concerns

The reported remarks point to growing discussions about regional security cooperation and the possibility of closer coordination among countries concerned about escalating tensions in the Middle East.

However, the account represents Rezaei’s description of the discussions. The reported remarks have not been independently confirmed through an official statement from the Saudi Defence Ministry. They should therefore not be interpreted as an established Israeli plan to attack Türkiye or Saudi Arabia.

The developments raise broader questions about regional security, diplomatic coordination and the future balance of power in West Asia.
