Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei has issued a set of strategic directives to the country’s senior military commanders, instructing the Armed Forces to respond immediately to any form of enemy threat without geographical limitations.
The directives were reported by Press TV following a meeting between the Supreme Leader and senior military commanders.
According to Press TV, the instructions establish four key principles for Iran’s military response and strategic readiness:
1. Immediate response to threats
Every form of threat posed by the enemy must be met with an immediate response, without geographical limitations.
2. US and Israeli assets within reach
All material and non-material assets belonging to what the statement describes as the US-Israeli enemy must remain within Iran’s reach.
3. Iran to determine the timing and conditions of any conflict’s end
The directives state that if adversaries launch military or terrorist attacks again, Iran’s Armed Forces and people will determine the timing and conditions under which the conflict ends.
4. Maintaining strategic combat readiness
Intelligent combat readiness for a powerful confrontation with adversaries has been described as a fundamental requirement for achieving maximum deterrence.

The directives come amid heightened tensions between Iran, the United States and Israel, with Iranian officials repeatedly warning against renewed military action.
The emphasis on responding without geographical limitations indicates that Iran’s stated response framework would not necessarily be restricted to the immediate location of an attack.
The reference to US and Israeli assets also signals that Tehran is presenting a broader deterrence posture rather than limiting its warnings to military installations directly involved in an attack.
